A symposium themed “Affinity in the Age of Globalization” was held at Tsinghua University on June 6, congregating about 50 experts and scholars from related universities and institutions such as Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Center for the Studies of European and American Literatures at Tsinghua University and co-organized by the School of English and International Studies and the Research Institute of Foreign Literature of Beijing Foreign Studies University and the Editorial Board of Foreign Literature, the symposium was a joint effort to mark the 100th anniversary of Wang Zuoliang’s birth.

Concurrently, the unveiling ceremony of the special bookshelf of Wang Zuoliang’s works was held in the University Library.
